Services · Tender Win Pack

The whole tender stage, one instruction.

Everything from the first measure to the levelled comparison, taken as a single piece of work with the tender stage schedules on top. It is always cheaper than buying the same items separately, and there is one person accountable for the lot.

WHAT YOU GET

What we deliver

  • Take off, NRM2 bill of quantities, cost plan, tender packs and subcontractor coordination, as one instruction
  • Technical and contractual RFI schedules, so queries go to the client in a form they can actually answer
  • A document tracker recording every drawing and specification received, its revision and when it arrived
  • A critical information schedule pulling the dates, constraints and obligations out of the pack onto one sheet
  • A risk register with the commercial consequence written against each entry, not just the risk
  • All of it issued through your private project data room
  • Always cheaper than the same items priced separately
WHERE IT GOES WRONG

What we watch for

  • Tender documents contradict each other, and pricing one of them is a decision. The specification says one thing, the drawing another, the employer's requirements a third. Raised as an RFI it becomes the client's decision. Priced quietly it becomes yours, and you find out which reading was right after award.
  • Critical information is scattered, and rarely by accident. Sectional completion, damages, possession dates and access restrictions almost never sit together in one place. Pulled onto a single sheet they change how the job is priced. Left where they are, they change how it is delivered.
  • A risk register with no money against it is just a list. Everybody agrees the risk exists and nobody does anything, because nothing on the page says what it costs. A consequence written against the entry is what turns it into a decision about whether to carry it, price it or pass it back.
  • One instruction means one person accountable when the pieces disagree. Split the tender stage across three suppliers and the bill, the cost plan and the packages will each be internally consistent and will not agree with each other. Nobody owns the seam, and the seam is where tenders are lost.
Common questions

Tender Win Pack, answered

What makes it cheaper than buying the parts?

The work overlaps. The measure feeds the bill, the bill feeds the cost plan, and the packages are built from quantities that already exist, so the same drawings are only read once. Taken separately each piece starts from the drawings again. The saving is real rather than a discount, and it holds across every project size we price.

Can we take it and still run the tender ourselves?

Yes. Plenty of clients take the pack and go to market on their own name and their own relationships. The schedules, the bill and the packages are yours to use however you want. Where you would rather we ran the market as well, subcontractor coordination is already inside the Tender Win Pack, so there is nothing further to instruct.

What if the client issues a major addendum mid tender?

One addendum is allowed for. Beyond that, an addendum only counts as substantial where it means work we have already issued has to be re-measured, re-priced or re-issued, and we confirm that in writing before we start it rather than presenting it afterwards. Addenda that do not change what has already gone out are absorbed.

Not the question you had?

Send us the drawings and the return date. We will tell you what we would need and what we would give you back, before anyone commits to anything.
